The Charites (2014-2015) series alludes to the many graces of being a woman. While the pieces in The Book of Hours (2014-2013) focus on the plight of being incarnate as a female, this series celebrates the positive experiences of such embodiment. Much like the Jungian definition of the feminine archetypes, the ancient Greek Charites exemplify tropes of beauty, nurturing, creativity, wisdom, etc. I create the costume and model the gestures that project each persona.
